These are the general terms and conditions between The Bike Shop ("we" or "us") and anyone who buys from us ("you"). The Bike Shop is part of The Bike Project, a registered charity (charity number: 1152354) and a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (company number: 08359498), our registered office is at 12 Crossthwaite Avenue, London, SE5 8ET.

Delivery service You will need to be available to accept the bike when it arrives. We will send you an email to let you know it has been dispatched.
Delivery failure If all attempts to deliver the goods fail then the goods will be returned to us. We will issue a refund less the costs of the delivery, return fee and any admin fees we may have incurred.
Satisfaction guarantee We are so confident that you will like your bike that you have 14 days to test ride it. If you like it – great! If once you have ridden it, you feel it’s not for you, you can return it to us. We are unable to accept returned helmets (by law).
You will need to notify us by email within 14 days of the delivery date that you wish to return it. We offer a full refund but you will be responsible for organising and paying for returning it safely.
You will also need to keep the box and pack it securely. The bike must be returned in the same condition you received it in. Failing this, we may deduct the cost of repairs from the refund.
We will refund the cost of the bike within 7 days.

Warning Your bicycle must be properly assembled & checked before riding. The Bike Project Shop accept no responsibility for injury or damage due to faulty assembly. Failure to ensure your cycle is properly assembled may lead to injury and invalidate any opportunity for returning the bike. Assembly undertaken without professional assistance is at the owner’s risk. If you are in any doubt, please contact us for assistance.
Pricing All prices quoted include VAT where applicable. It is always possible that some of the goods we sell may be incorrectly priced. We will normally check prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where the goods’ correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the goods to you. If the goods’ correct price is higher than the stated price we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the goods, or reject the order and tell you. If the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as an error, we do not have to provide the goods to you at the incorrect (lower) price.
Governing law These terms and conditions shall be governed by English and Welsh law and we both agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

What do we do with your information?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
If you sign up for our email communications, you need to provide us with your email address. This email address will be used solely to deliver you information about The Bike Shop and The Bike Project products, services, news and promotions.
How do you get my consent?
• When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
