Wow, this is one special bike!

Carbon fibre is now ubiquitous in the pro peloton and Giant led the way with their Cadex models, some of the first carbon fibre bikes ever made. This CFR-2 is in stunning condition for it's age and features a traditional, horizontal top tube frame constructed with carbon fibre tubes bonded into aluminium lugs. The beautifully sculpted, aero carbon fork blades were way ahead of their time. They probably said it wouldn't catch on...

At a feather weight 9.3KG, this bike would have been one of the lightest ever made when it was released in 1992.  Decked out with a full Campagnolo 9 speed gruppo complete with Xenon ergopower shifters, Campagnolo front wheel and a new old stock Velox hub at the rear; this bike would be equally at home on the wall of a museum as it would be racing through the Kent lanes.

This bike has clearly been well looked after and has no more than the scuffs and scratches you would expect for a bike of it's age. Our scrupulous mechanics decided to change the gear cables and freshly wrap the handlebars just to give it that "new" bike feel. Get yourself a piece of cycling history!
