It's not often that we lay our hands on a bike that makes us fall in love with cycling all over again, but this unique Ron Cooper vintage model definitely slots into that category.
Ron Cooper was a legendary master frame builder who first set up his workshop just a few miles from ours. Sadly he died in 2012, so you really can't buy these new any longer.
Ron Cooper's frames took two days to build by hand and his care shows in their unique responsiveness and stability at just 9.3kgs.
Fabulous design and details almost make you want to put the frame on the wall in an art gallery - but we'd prefer to see you riding it!
Although the unique frame is very much this bike's main selling point, its top quality components won't disappoint either.
The 12 speed gears are built with top notch Campagnolo and Shimano Dura ACE components, giving you plenty of gearing for moderate hills and a good top speed on the flats. The Shimano Dura ACE caliper brakes give you sharp stopping power at any speed.
Lightweight Mavic wheel rims are built around silky-smooth Campagnolo Record hubs and topped with Schwalbe Lugano road tyres.
It's in very good condition for a vintage bike and, with Ron Cooper's steel frame, it will last you (and maybe your kids) a lifetime. As well as getting a fabulous bike (with free delivery), you'll be making a magnificent contribution to the charitable aims of The Bike Project.
We are genuinely delighted to have such a venerable bike for sale, and excited for the lucky bike-lover who gets their hands on it. You've never seen such envy in our workshop!
