6 super important things

Thanks for ordering a Virtual Dr Bike session with one of our ace mechanics!

So that you get the most out of your time with us, it's important that we're both fully prepared. Please read this whole page and make sure you're ready for the call.

1. Complete this form before your scheduled session

This is mega important stuff like telling us your phone number.

Unfortunately, if the form is not completed before your Virtual Dr Bike, we will have to cancel the session and issue a refund.

2. Get together some basic tools

We'll probably be asking you to make adjustments to your bike so please get your tool kit ready before the call to save time.

As a minimum, your tool kit should include:

  • Adjustable spanner or multiple sizes
  • Allen keys
  • Screwdriver

Don't worry if you don't have these, you can buy them here!

3. Get to know your bike a bit

We'll be talking you through some repairs, so if you don't already know your way around a bike, this diagram is a good reference point:

4. Please take care when working on your bike

It sounds basic, but pay attention to where your hands or other parts of your body are. Take your time and listen to your friendly mechanic, there's no rush :)

5. Be like Luke Skywalker and be aware of The Force

Your mechanic might ask you to tighten or loosen bits of your bike. Make sure your tools are securely in place before applying any force. This will help to prevent damage to the nuts, bolts, screws, fingers, thumbs, etc..

If something feels stuck, or seized, please don't force it.

6. If we can't fix everything during your session...

Firstly, you can always buy more time if you need more help from your remote mechanic.

Secondly, please understand that, until we figure out a way to beam holograms across time and space, there are limitations to what we can do virtually. Sorry!

If there's something we can't help with remotely, our mechanic might recommend you visit your local bike shop for some hands-on repairs.
